So, yesterday I was watching a blip on FoxNews and apparently some really young girls and teenagers have decided to make a video about how Sarah Palin has ruined their lives. Oh please.
When I was in college, I suspended at least a portion of my ultra-conservative upbringing to give my college professors and community-activist classmates the benefit of the doubt on their pointing out social problems. I participated actively in class discussions as one of few who still believed in God as a Heavenly Father, and I generally held my own. However, on occasion, the discussion would be so incredibly non-sensical that the only alternative to total brainwashing was for me to actually stand up and walk out of the class. In fact, one professor, who was actually quite funny and candid, came to expect me to walk out and congradulated me when he knew I should.
This is one of those occasions.
The woman, Sarah Palin, has done nothing but assume accountability and pride in the opportunities life has handed her. She has children, she loves her husband, she serves her country as her authentic self, and she loves God, and she doesn't put her garbage on other people's lawns. But, there is the crime, after all.
No political leader in our day is actually ALLOWED to be so non-political.
If that is a recipe for ruining the lives of little girls and teenagers, I'm walking out.
