wardrobe funk

Honestly I don't know what was more damaging to my wardrobe this year (consider the list below) but it is in a serious funk:

-being jobless and broke last year
-having a shamelessly unfashionable boyfriend
-not being in a singles ward (until 2 months ago)
-becoming a temporary work-a-holic
-having no dress code at my new job
-losing 20 lbs since I last went shopping
-room is a perpetual disaster (might have lost a few key pieces there)
-or perhaps a combo of all of these factors...

Yesterday I really wanted to look cute and the only things in my closet now are old mission clothes! Yuck! I almost cried.

What has happened to me!?! I used to be the Stacy London of all my friends!!! And worse, I don't even have a good excuse! I am the cool, childless, single fun girl. Whats a girl to do...my my my.

Gotta get back to my roots. Shopping, anyone?

Me, me, me oh pick MEEEEEE! I am totally up for that Em. I know what it feels like to loose weight and not have anything that fits. I don't know which is worse not having anything fit because it's too tight or because it falls off but they are BOTH frustrating. How does this Saturday morning sound???

Oh Jones, I wish I could go shopping with you! You have taught me so many things:

1. Never pay full price for anything - ESPECIALLY when shopping at the Gap or Banana. Because all their stuff eventually goes on sale.
2. Only buy it if you really love it. If you're on the fence, don't get it.
3. Buy things that are classic pieces, things you can wear for a long time (not toooooo trendy), but still look good.

I am sure there are more lessons, those are the ones that stand out the most to me though. I miss being able to share a wardrobe with my favorite girls - it was painfully clear how limited my wardrobe was when I got married and moved out! I like to think I am getting better. I still make a stupid purchase now and then... but my improvement has so much to do with your influence! Don't worry friend, you still got it!!

I want to go! But I don't know what size to shop for now that I'm expecting. Ugh, I want new clothes but I want to be able to fit into them. Go shopping Jones, you deserve to feel the hottness that you are.
