Summer Romance

Well, Nathan is FINALLY back, and we had a nice visit up in Portland last weekend with his family (pictures hopefully will be posted later). In the course of catching up with each other (after 5 months of separation) I've noticed that everything in my life is different than it was when Nate left.

For starters, I started a new job the day he left. Then, I moved out into my own place (first time ever). Then I moved into a new singles ward, and, subsequently have 2 new callings. In the midst of which I conquered the world without much sleep (aka went to school full time while working 2 jobs and got mostly A's). In sum, I have altogether new adventures and challenges. And, I suppose intermingled in there is a brand new fresh perspective on life, not to mention faith and confidence!

The changes are not exclusive to me though. When Nathan and I began dating, he, nor I were employed! He fished all the time, 'at his leisure' and thoroughly enjoyed his freedom to roam free. Now he is a bona fide agent of the Federal Government, on call for service to the Law. With a new career and an encompassing commitment to prepare for his future role as "head of the household"-- I observe from a unique vantage point the transformation that is happening right before my eyes! It is fun to support him and see him overcome and conquer every challenge placed in his path.

Needless to say, with all of the newness of being together again, we honestly have no idea when we're getting hitched. Life is good though and we are thoroughly enjoying our blossoming life together, and of course, hoping for the best in the Lord's time and all the blessings to come!

I love him.

PS- while in Portland, Nate proudly pointed out a waitress sporting the "bump-it" and we all laughed at her.
