Wedding

So I am now in that tedious stage of planning my wedding, and I want to make sure I have all my bases covered...still not sure what is appropriate for the budget on certain items. Please, friends and family, offer tips or suggestions, and especially let me know if I have forgotten anything important on the list- mostly, if you care to divulge, please tell me how much you were willing to spend in the important categories (especially flowers- a category I know nothing about):

-dress
-flowers
-cake
-table/chair rentals
-photographer
-invitations
-postage
-bridesmaids dresses
-live music
-centerpieces
-tablecloths
-catering
-lighting/other decor

missing anything?

Hey Jones,
I am so excited for you! The best advice I got was the most important things to spend money on is the ring (since you'll be wearing it for the rest of your life), the hunneymoon (the memories will be a great foundation for your marriage), and the photography/videography (after your special day is over it will be all that's left to remember it by). Besides those things the rest is up to you. I remember how stressful wedding planning can be, and I wish you the best of luck.

Hey Em,

When I remember, I'll email Allison and get you her number so you can get the tablecloths next time you're up there. We went el-cheapo on lots of things because most of it wasn't all that important to us. Although, as Crystal said, John refused to go below the price he had in his head on the ring. My mom and I made the invitations, which was a beast mostly because they had bows on them and we had to tie them all, but we probably only spend $150 (if that) on the paper and pictures and ribbon and everything. Anyhow, I'm sure I'll talk to you more about it soon =)
